TEHRAN, September 19 - South African Ambassador to Iran William Max Whitehead said his country is ready to share expertise with Iran on agriculture, mine and industry.

South Africa says ready to share know-how on mining, industry, agriculture with IranTEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - “South Africa is quite professional in mining and we are ready to share our expertise with Iran in this field,” he said in a meeting with governor of Iranian central Semnan Province.

He also said South African Mines Minister Mosebenzi Zwane is visiting Iran soon, and vowed to make the arrangement for the minister’s visit to Semnan Province.

The African envoy also said Iran-South Africa joint economic commission meeting is scheduled to be held on October 23 in South Africa, expressing hope that representatives from Semnan would take part in the meeting.

“Iran and Africa are cooperating closely in political fields. We should also improve trade ties as much as political relations. Iran and South Africa enjoy strategic positions in the world which are quite considerable.”
