TEHRAN, January 3 - Iranian President Hassan Rouhani reiterated that Iran and Turkey are determined to expand bilateral ties.

Iran, Turkey resolute to boost bilateral ties, says RouhaniTEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - In a phone call with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Rouhani said by implementing plans on the agendas of the two countries, the two countries would witness a fundamental development and jump in Tehran-Ankara ties, especially in economic fields.

“Tehran-Ankara cooperation and their active participation in Sochi and Astana talks will help boosting and developing security in the region and the process will continue until obtaining full stability and security in the region.”

Erdogan, for his part, said Ankara is resolute to expand relations with Iran in all fields.

“The relations will be widened further through boosting banking cooperation and speeding up using national currency in bilateral economic ties.”

He said that Ankara and Tehran would keep cooperation to strengthen stability in the region.
