TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Bahram Ghassemi strongly rejected Financial Times newspaper claim on Iran’s accepting negotiation on its missile program in the recent Brussels summit.
The Iranian diplomat stressed that the Islamic Republic’s policy on its missile program is clear and that other countries are aware of that policy.
“The position of the Islamic Republic of Iran has not changed despite the machinations, threats, positions and attitudes of the United States and others, and as it has been stated time and again Iran’s missile program is totally defensive and deterring, and applied against no country” Ghasemi added, “proposing such baseless claims will no create any change in this fundamental policy of Iran”.
The FM Spokesman again stressed that Islamic Republic allows no country to intervene its internal affairs and defensive policies specially the missile program.
Ghassemi also asserted that Iran's policy in the region is a constructive and stabilizing one which is serving to strengthening peace and security in the region as well as the world.
“If those malice ones and extremists can not contribute to stability and security in the region, are not allowed to ignore the role of Iran in fighting terrorism, insecurity and instability as well as its paying heavy costs, and therefore to spread chaos and insecurity and development of terrorism in the region” he said.
