Iran’s team finished its 2014 mission with 2 gold medals and 2 silver ones at the 26th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) on Saturday.

The host Taiwan won one gold medal and three silvers Saturday at the just-concluded 26th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI), which was held for the first time in Taiwan.

Taiwan's performance this year marked an improvement from last year in Australia, when it garnered one gold and two bronze medals.

This year, a total of 316 students from 82 countries took part in the IOI, an annual competition for secondary school students.

Iran’s national physics team has also ranked 12th in the recent international competition in Kazakhstan.
