The Iranian Health Ministry spokesperson announced on Friday that 17,605 new COVID-19 infections have been detected across the country in the past 24 hours 2,537of which has been hospitalized.
“A sum of 17,605 COVID-19 infections and 364 deaths has been identified due to the disease in the past 24 hours” the spox said while adding that “This brings the total number of cases to 5,396,013.”
“364 COVID patients have lost their lives in the past 24 hours that bring the total death toll 116,436,” the ministry added.
“6,902 people are being treated in ICUs in hospitals across the country, while 4,708,195 have already gained recovery,” the health ministry added.
The ministry also added that 30,782,338 coronavirus diagnosis tests have so far been carried out across the country while warning that “168 cities are rated red, 209 cities are orange, and 71 cities are yellow.”
