Friday, 26 November 2021 (YJC)_During his talks with his Malaysian counterpart, Iranian foreign minister requested both sides to enhance bilateral ties.

Amir-Abdollahian to his Malaysian Counterpart: We have to Enhance Bilateral RelationsIranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and his Malaysian counterpart Saifuddin Abdullah hold a telephone conversation on Friday, in which they discussed the recent regional and international developments, calling for boosting the bilateral relations.

Amir-Abdollahian congratulated Malaysia on its membership in the Human Rights Council and expressed hope that the country would promote human rights and tackle double standards on human rights.

“For the new Iranian administration Asian countries are a priority in the foreign policy,” he said while adding “Iran is fully reay to expand relations with Malaysia in all areas.”

“We are ready to finalize the Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA) between the two countries,” he said while expressing the hope that a joint economic commission would be formed in the near future.

He finally, thanked the Malaysian government for its support to the oppressed people of Palestine.
