US President Joe Biden on Thursday morning confirmed the progress made in the Vienna talks.
Speaking at a news conference to describe his first year in office, Biden said:
It is not time to give up. Progress is being made, but it remains to be seen.
Asked by a Reuters reporter if he could hope to reach an agreement in the Vienna talks on whether the two sides would return to the nuclear deal or whether they should surrender, he said:
On the contrary, we should not give up ... The United States and the countries negotiating with Iran are in agreement.
Earlier, Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia's representative in the Vienna talks, said that a trilateral meeting had been held between the Iranian, Chinese and Russian delegations to review the status of the talks on lifting sanctions on Iran.
