Sunday, 6 March 2022 (YJC)_ The Secretary of State of the Palestinian Authority criticized the double standards of the Western countries regarding the Palestinian issue and the obstruction of the investigation of the crimes of the Zionist regime.

Al-Maliki: Palestine is facing a fierce war in the Human Rights CouncilPalestinian Authority Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki criticized the Palestinian people for ignoring the rights of the Palestinian people at the UN Human Rights Council and for biasing Western countries in a press conference yesterday (Saturday).

According to Al-Ayyam news website, Al-Maliki said:
Some governments reject the discussion of Chapter VII in the UN Human Rights Council on Palestinian Territories; The United States, the Zionist regime and some European countries do not want the crimes of the occupiers to be highlighted against the children of the Palestinian people.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Palestinian Authority added:
Palestine faces a fierce war at the UN Human Rights Council; The council is governed by the United States and some European countries so that the provisions of Chapter VII of the Charter against Tel Aviv are not discussed.

Al-Maliki continued the press conference:
Israel refuses to mention its crimes against the Palestinian people separately and under a specific clause; In addition, there are governments [especially from Europe] that reject the Human Rights Council's review of Chapter VII.

Regarding the policy of double standards in dealing with the Palestinian issue, he acknowledged:
Adopting this policy by the United States and the West always affects the issue of Palestine over other issues. However, we will ask the UN Security Council to hold periodic meetings to review the crimes and violations of the Zionist regime and to support the Palestinian people.

Riyad al-Maliki concluded by emphasizing the importance of discussing and reviewing the report on the human rights situation in the Palestinian territories in the Human Rights Council.
This will be pursued as long as crimes are committed [by Tel Aviv].

The remarks were made by the Palestinian Foreign Minister at a time when the Zionist regime has recently received numerous warnings and human rights reports from international organizations; The reports confirm Tel Aviv's apartheid crimes against the Palestinian people and call for an end to the crimes and violations committed by the Zionist occupiers.
