According to the Daily Sabah, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Turkey has a clear path to become a logistical superpower. Erdogan added that Turkey seeks to be a logistical superpower geographically from London to Beijing, Siberia to South Africa.

The President of Turkey said:
We expanded our railway network from 10959 km to 13022 km. Our goal is to increase this figure to 28590 km by 2053. By developing high-speed train lines by 2053, we will increase the number of provinces connected to this system from 8 to 52 provinces.

Erdogan also announced the government's plans to support employment in Turkey.

Meanwhile, the media reported that people in the Turkish city of Istanbul recently protested against the increase in public transport fares. In Istanbul, public transport fares have risen by 40 percent, and protests against the price increase have been going on for days.
