Saturday, 16 April 2022 (YJC)_ Large numbers of Serbs gathered in the center of the capital on Friday evening to support Russia's military operation in Ukraine.

Thousands gather in support of Russia in SerbiaRussian media reported that several thousand residents of the Serbian capital, Belgrade, took part in a large demonstration in support of Russia.

According to the RIA Novosti website, the reason for the "No to Me" event was Serbia's vote in favor of Russia's expulsion from the UN Human Rights Council.

The rally was organized by the "People's Patrol" group led by Demjan Knevich and the "Obraz" movement led by Obradovich Mladen, who had previously held rallies in support of Russia in March.

According to the report, around 19:00 local time, hundreds of people gathered in front of the Presidential Palace in central Belgrade, near the monument to Nicholas II. Then their number reached several thousand.

According to RIA Novosti, participants in the demonstrations carried the flags of Russia, Serbia, the self-proclaimed republics of Donetsk and Luhansk, and the black-and-yellow-white flag of the Russian Empire. Some wore T-shirts.

Demonstrators blocked Milan's main street, Keralia, and then marched in a column through the city center, past the General Staff, the Serbian Ministry of Defense, the Government and the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
