Western officials continue to accuse the United States of leading Russia against Russia under the pretext of the conflict in Ukraine, accusing Moscow officials of supporting terrorism.
The US media reported on Saturday evening that "Nancy Pelosi", the Speaker of the US House of Representatives, supports the inclusion of Russia in the list of countries supporting terrorism.
US officials have been debating whether to declare Russia a sponsor of terrorism since the start of the war in Ukraine, but no final decision has been made yet.
Pelosi had previously called Russian President Vladimir Putin "cowardly" and claimed that Moscow was a state sponsor of terrorism in the world.
Meanwhile, US State Department spokesman John Kirby told a news conference on Friday evening that the United States was not seeking to provoke Russia.
