The Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau, who paid an unannounced visit to Ukraine on Sunday, met with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kiev.
According to MSN News, in a meeting with Zelenskyy, Trudeau accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of committing war crimes in Ukraine. An action that has been taken in concert by Russian leaders against Russian officials in recent weeks.
In a joint news conference with Zelenskyy, Trudeau claimed:
It is clear that Vladimir Putin is responsible for the heinous war crimes and there must be an answer in this regard.
Prior to meeting Zelenskyy, Trudeau visited the Irpin district on the outskirts of Kiev, a city of 600,000 people where Russian forces had clashed with Ukrainian troops.
"I witnessed first and foremost the brutality of Russia's illegal war," the Canadian prime minister told reporters after the visit.
