Releasing a statement to react the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Board of Governors' resolution against the country, the Iranian foreign ministry named it as political, unconstructive and wrong.
“Such steps will have no results than weakening Iran’s cooperation with the agency,” it is said while adding that “a hasty and unbalanced report by the IAEA director general made such a resolution, Iran blasted the resolution drafted by the US, Britain, France, and Germany as a wrong, political and unconstructive move.”
The statement went on to add that “Based on an agreement announced on March 5, 2022, we have shown our goodwill in cooperation with the IAEA by presenting precise technical data,” and asked IAEA to adopt an independent, impartial, and professional stance to take a constructive step over the safeguard’s issues.
“Iran has one of the most transparent peaceful nuclear energy programs among the IAEA member states,” it is said while referring to the Iran’s constructive cooperation with the IAEA.
In a meeting of the IAEA’s Board of Governors an anti-Iran resolution, drafted by Britain, France, Germany, and the US has been approved.
This resolution comes following a trip by IAEA Chief Rafael Grossi to the Israeli-occupied territories.
Also, the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) announced on Wednesday that Iran has removed two cameras as Grossi started escalating tensions against the country.
